The Problem

 

The wide-scale problems all of us on Earth are facing are a degrading environment and global climate change.

 

This is caused by a wide variety of factors. According to the EPA, causes of climate change include:

 

An increase in greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere cause it to retain more energy than before, instead of reflecting it back into space. These gasses include carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide among many others.

Changes in the sun's energy, a factor we cannot influence in any direction.

 

In turn, this is caused by many things you probably have heard of throughout your life. Greenhouse gasses are a massive output of industrialized civilization. Coal power plants, factory farming, automobiles, petrol usage, large-scale deforestation, overpopulation, you name it - all contribute to it. Regardless of our individual views on these things, our goal in this project is to advocate for recycling, which has great benefit when it comes to combating both degrading environment and climate change.
